Goods In

One of the most fundamental challenges any retail business faces is anticipating future public demand. Our business runs like a high performance engine, if we purchase items the public does not want then we clog our warehouses with unwanted stock and this puts a strain on the business. A lower amount of available cash, due to heavily discounted unfashionable stock, ultimately restricts our ability to bulk buy items that the consumer actually wants. Without the best purchase price, we would be unable to pass on the best prices to you.

Fortunately, our team of buyers are experienced, research thoroughly and negotiate to get the very best deals for items that the consumer actually wants. Consequently, we are then able to pass the benefits to you.

Order Processing

We are fully automated and all our shops are operated on a 'live' system. Our Sales team are able to see the total Company stock and what is due into the warehouse. In addition they can see what is allocated. When a customer makes a purchase they can collect from the store of their choice or select a delivery/installation day and time. If the customer is local to any of our branches we will often be able to deliver the same day!

The delivery note is printed at the required location (usually the warehouse) and picked and labelled. Usually these goods are moved to the despatch bay. However sometimes they will be 'held as allocated' and moved to despatch later.


Installation Technicians

Our installation technicians usually work in pairs and we have pre-set 'runs' for each week and day. For example, an installation technicians runs may include, Monday - Okehampton area, Tuesday - Honiton & East Devon and Wednesday - Torbay etc. However each branch also has its own installation vehicle and technicians so we are able to offer the immediate response often required. We also have 2 Field based Technicians who operate within our geographical area and of course our Bespoke Installation Team.

Once the installation has been finished our admin/support office completes the warranty information and any further paperwork related to the job is entered onto the system. If the consumer is unfortunate enough to have a technical query, we are able to look-up all information including serial numbers etc. This 'dove-tails' nicely with our service department as they are able to enter data regarding the repair and/or parts used on any repair into the system providing a complete history.

Internal Stock Transfers

We operate a 'Link' vehicle which moves the stock around the stores as required whilst also transferring customer repairs to and from the workshops.
